Twenty minutes and one bridge. Penns Grove sits almost directly across the river from us, so the run is Route 130 or I-295 to the Delaware Memorial Bridge and off at the first Delaware exits. A chip fill is $60 to $130 and about 30 minutes, a fitted windshield $250 to $450, and door, quarter or back glass $200 to $500, all quoted on the phone before you set out. You will find us at 23 Parkway Circle in New Castle, weekdays 8 to 5. Call 215-608-1108.

Penns Grove is a river town where Delaware is genuinely part of daily life. Plenty of households here have someone who works across the bridge, and the twin span is treated the way people in other places treat a main road. That means these cars split their mileage between two very different environments: fast concrete highway on Route 130 and I-295 and the bridge climb, and then narrow older streets in town where the houses sit close to the pavement and the parking is at the kerb.
The highway half produces chips and cracks. Concrete highway is laid in slabs, and every joint between them is a small, evenly spaced impact travelling up through the car into the glass; do that a few hundred times a week with a stone mark in your windshield and it will not stay a stone mark. The town half produces the other kind of work, clipped mirrors, scraped quarter lights and the occasional broken door window on a street where two cars pass with inches to spare. We quote both the same way, a number matched to your year, make and model before you leave New Jersey, and it does not change once the car is in the bay. The bridge toll is charged coming into Delaware, so the run home is free, which is worth knowing when you are weighing up the trip.
Route 130 runs through as the main road, with the older commercial frontage along it, and I-295 carries the faster traffic down to the bridge interchange. Main Street runs through the middle of the old town toward the river, with the small grid of streets around it packed tight and parked on both sides. Carneys Point sits immediately north and shares most of the same roads. The industrial ground along the river brings its own truck traffic onto Route 130 all day. The Delaware Memorial Bridge dominates the skyline south of town, and the approach ramps mean that getting onto a road doing sixty-five is never more than a couple of minutes from anyone here.
“10/10 will recommend. A+ service and professionalism. My car was vandalize by a man on drugs. He destroyed my windshield, broke my wiper arm and ripped off my door handle. Very unfortunate for me because my insurance didn't cover because the total damages was under the price of my deductible. So I had to come out of pocket. Glory and praises to God Almighty who supply all. I mean I was upset but God gave me the peace and a heart to pray for the individual that damaged my car. But baby, Pro Bond pulled up on time and got right to work. Vacuum up all the glass and told me once I get the wiper arm to give them a call and they will install. I am so appreciative of great business. The icing on the cake was the quoted price of repair was cheaper then 4 other companies that I called. I called Monday they came out to repair on Tuesday and that was only because it rained Monday. I will recommend to all my family and friends”
One: concrete slab joints. Route 130 and the approach roads are laid in sections, and the regular thump at every joint is the most efficient way there is to work an existing chip outward. Two: bridge and interstate traffic, which is heavy freight running between two states and shedding grit the whole way. Three: the narrow town streets, where mirrors, quarter glass and door glass all get caught when two vehicles pass a block parked on both sides. Four: river air. Salt and damp get into an unfilled chip within days and into the metal under an old windshield over years, and both make the eventual job harder than it needed to be.
Route 130 or I-295 south to the Delaware Memorial Bridge, and over. The toll is collected on the way into Delaware, so pay it there and know the return is free. Once you are across, come off at the first Delaware exits for Route 9 or Route 13 and work south a couple of minutes to the DuPont Highway; Parkway Circle is a short turn off it. Twenty minutes when the bridge behaves, more if it does not, and the bridge is the only part of the journey worth checking before you leave. If the car is not safe to drive over a span in the wind, do not; call us and we will talk through the options rather than have you cross with a window out.

Coming over, yes. The Delaware Memorial Bridge collects on the Delaware-bound side, so the trip to the shop is tolled and the trip home to Penns Grove is not. It is one charge for the round trip rather than two, which is worth factoring in when you are deciding between driving over and having us come to you. Everything else is the same whichever way you do it: $60 to $130 for a chip fill, $250 to $450 for a fitted windshield, $200 to $500 for door, quarter or back glass.
Ask us when you call, because the honest answer depends on the day and on what the job is. The van gets routed in the morning around where it starts, and a bridge crossing is a bigger commitment than a run down Route 13. For a car that cannot safely be moved it is the right conversation to have. For a car that drives, the shop is twenty minutes away, it is indoors, the weather is irrelevant and the glass is already there, so crossing yourself is usually the faster answer.
For a chip, allow an hour and a half door to door: twenty minutes each way plus about 30 minutes of work, and you can wait for it. For a windshield, allow most of a morning or an afternoon: roughly an hour of fitting plus the safe drive-away time we give you before the urethane will hold the glass in a crash, and you do not want to be racing back over the bridge inside that. Call first with the year, make and model so the glass is on the bench when you arrive.
